How To Get Pregnant Naturally

Have you ever wondered how to get pregnant? This question evokes varying responses from different people. Romance and emotion do play their part in the decision of having a baby. However, it is not uncommon to feel pained and frustrated, especially among the couples who are not able to become parents). Ideas of a kinky nature are bound to come to such couples.

Most newly wed couples take adequate protection against having a baby too quickly. However, in a matter of months, even as the duo is still getting to know each other properly, the eagerness to conceive a kid increases. This is hardly surprising, given the natural instinct of motherhood in ladies. A wife always wants to become a mother, since that gives her a sense of fulfillment. Thus, even in a fiercely competitive world, where the cost of everyday living runs into thousands, the craving for a baby remains high.

However, the females need to know how to get pregnant in a proper, healthy manner. The welfare and healthiness of both the mother and the kid, who would be seeing the light of the world soon, is of paramount importance. Hence, a careful perusal of the following discussion is necessary:

• Women should start preparing to become a mother, at least 3 to 4 months prior to the actual delivery,
• Holistic measures for the maintenance of good health conditions is necessary for both the mother and child,
• A soon-to-be-mother should completely shun smoking and drinking habits,
• It is of paramount importance that no drugs of intoxication are consumed,
• Healthy, adequate nourishment is extremely necessary for women at these times. This is because both the pre-delivery and post-delivery periods are generally rather stressful for them, and
• For maintaining the desirable health conditions, minerals, proteins (that are easy to digest) and minerals should be consumed in adequate amounts.

It is also crucial to pay heed to some other important factors. Some such factors are:

Thorough knowledge of one’s own body? The period of ovulation in a woman is the ideal time for her to conceive a baby. Thus, she should be aware of the time of ovulation. There are, fortunately, many ways to find out what the time of ovulating would be. The ‘Post Ovulation Time’ (also termed the Luteal Phase) has to be estimated. This period, i.e., the time between ovulating and the date of commencement of the menstrual cycle, generally is fixed at 14 days in most women. The period starts after the length of the Luteal Phase, or 14 days after the occurrence of ovulation.

There is an alternative way to find out the period of ovulation, which is based on the Basal Body Temperature method (i.e. the BBT technique). In this method, the temperature of the vagina is recorded by a specially-made BBT thermometer. This is done everyday in the morning. During the period of ovulation, this temperature rises significantly, and such increases can be easily tracked. For higher chances of conceiving a baby, sexual intercourse at these times is ideal.

When does sexual union helps in conception the most? This information is necessary, since it ensures that the sperms of the best quality enter the female body at the time of ovulation. Sperms should have quick reaction time when a woman ovulates. Hence, fresh sperm is required to be present in the body of the female immediately before ovulating. However, there may occur certain problems in the sperm of the males too. In such cases, men should not be releasing sperms, for a minimum of 3 days before the scheduled day of sexual union. These data is extremely important, in case you are wondering how to get pregnant.

The ideal frequency of lovemaking for higher chances of conceiving? Among other factors, a correct estimate of the ovulation period in women and the overall physique of men determine the ideal frequency of sexual union. There is a school of thought that, sperm count goes down, with a resultant weakening of the male sperm, if intercourse is held everyday. Conversely, others tend to think that the male sperm becomes ineffective, old and stale (with much lower potency) if it remains within the testicles, due to prolonged periods of abstinence. It is generally recommended that, sexual union, during the period of female ovulation, should be held about once in every 2 days.

It is always better to provide holistic solutions to the question of how to get pregnant. Such an approach helps to gain an insight about the inner workings of our body, and the reasons for not conceiving earlier. It also comes up with several usable solutions to this problem, including medicines and herbs of Chinese origin as well as changes in eating habits and overall lifestyle. Suitable exercise methods and, if required, acupuncture is also recommended. Unlike the conventional methods, the holistic approach has no adverse side effects, and has a much higher chance of providing the desired results. Hence, in these cases, holistic approach works much better than conventional ways.

Pregnancy Diet - Diet For Your Pregnancy

Honestly, motherhood is a wonderful and a pleasant experience of every woman. Mother nature maintains the continuity of living beings through their pro genies, and human beings are no exception to this universal rule. The development of human consciousness and methodical advancement however, has put various restrictions or exceptions to the very principle and end of a man woman association, it is the natures design for obtaining offspring and so ensuring the continuity of the human race. Diet is a principal factor to be taken charge of throughout the pregnancy.

We have to note here that women has to eat for two during pregnancy but then, we do not encourage overeating. In fact, a great quantity of proteins, likewise vitamins and minerals has to be taken, bearing in mind that the mother is just the only source of these important baby items. Prenatal diet do not vouch for total non carbohydrate diet since it can result in production of keystones in the blood stream in the absence of carbohydrates, that can result in the risk of brain damage for the baby. Moreover this too might lead to constipation in pregnant women since they are supplied with extra doses of iron vital for the baby.

The pre natal food has to include sufficient fruits to ensure vitamins in required quantity. One has to be watchful not to over eat that may lead to heaviness especially persons who suffer from diabetics or low B.P. or over weight. In fact, low carbohydrate diet contains whole grains and fruits with smallest amount white rice and pasta. If you do take high amount of carbohydrate diet, then it is advisable to go for frequent meals. Moreover, do stay away from processed meat because it contains a lesser amount of nutrients and extra calories.

Enough quantity of nuts, salads and fruits are to be taken. Great doses of salt and sauces are to be avoided. I advised you consult with your gynecologist for a balanced diet prescription. There is absolutely a link with the pre natal food and the baby's health. One has to organize oneself to be a lovely mother by enriching herself with the know-how of baby care, and the post delivery health care. One has to be emotionally ready to keep up with the bodily, and emotional changes one is subject to throughout this time.

Sound Eating Practices for Vegans

The vegetarian way of eating can be a very healthy style of eating. As with any diet, the universal guidelines hold true, make sure that you get plenty of variety, and don't go to any extremes. A vegetarian does not eat any type of meat, no matter what type, even fish. Vegetarians can be divided up further according to how much they do or don't restrict the types of food they eat. Dairy products, such as eggs, are the main part of the lacto-ovo vegetarian's diet but they will not partake of the flesh of animals. A Vegan on the other hand, will avoid all food that has any trace of animal origin.

Vegetarians often wonder how they'll get enough protein because they don't eat meat. Although you might not realize it, the average American actually consumes more protein than is actually required by him. For the lacto-ovo vegetarian, dairy products are an excellent source of protein. But vegan can turn to nuts, seeds and soy products in order to get all the protein they need. Along the lines of beans, there are several to choose from, including green or red lentils, peanuts, split peas, pinto, soy, kidney, and many more. Familiar to most people, are kidney beans, a staple in chili, re-fried beans, used in Mexican cuisine, red beans and rice, a Cajun dish, and pinto beans. Although some beans taste good as they are, others are available with different flavors to help enhance their taste.

You should always eat nuts sparingly, since they have much more fat than beans, even though they have a high amount of protein. By having one cup of cooked beans, you'll get the same amount of protein as eating two ounces of meat. The nutrients of concern for vegans, who avoid all types of animal food, are vitamin B12, calcium, and vitamin D. Animal meat is the usual source of B12 in the diet of most Americans. In order to achieve an acceptable intake of B12, vitamin B12 supplements or foods should be regularly consumed. Soy and milk products are good examples.

Vegans can find alternative sources of calcium in orange juice or soy milk, both of which are fortified with calcium. In addition, calcium can be found in both leafy greens and beans. Even though it is quite possible to eat a balanced vegetarian diet, vegetarians should also consider their vitamin and calcium intakes and supplement them if necessary. Of course, doing this is imperative to living a healthy lifestyle by consuming healthy food. If you control what you eat, you'll have many years of healthy eating ahead of you.

9 Steps to Keep Food Fresh Naturally

Honestly speaking, how many times have you bought food and then forgotten about it only to remember it because it begins to stink? Against this, you can not do anything, but you can ensure that your food lasts longer and stays fresh.

How? There are many things you can do, such as regularly clean your refrigerator and regularly check the food in there and also that you keep in the cupboards or anywhere else. But its not just about checking them. This can not prevent anything. All you will be doing is throwing away food items before they stink up the entire kitchen. So, what can you do to keep the food fresh? Here lies the tips for ensuring food is cleaner and fresher:

1) Spread some cloves on and around the marble surface of your kitchen, and also spread some cloves under the sink. Why? The Cloves keeps ants away.

2) Place some bay leaves inside your bags of dough, rice and the rest of the packs that insects prefer. Why? Bay leaves keep insects and other such lice away from food products. By placing bay leaves inside the packets, we ensure that insects do not reside there. But please remember to change the bay leaves once every three months.

3) Place half a potato in the refrigerator. Why? If there is any kind of bad smell from food or cooked items, the half potato will absorb it. To make sure that this works, remember to exchange the potato every three days.

4) Store eggs with the pointed side down. Why? Storing eggs with the pointed side down keeps them fresh for a longer period.

5) Place a few cubes of sugar in the jar where you store American cheese. Why? When you place two or three cubes of sugar with the American cheese in an air tight jar, the sugar absorbs the moisture and prevents the cheese from getting bad.

6) Do not store tomatoes and cucumbers in the same draw. Why? Tomatoes give out gases that cause cucumbers to rot faster so make sure that you keep these two apart.

7) Do not store apples along with the rest of the fruits and vegetables. Why? Apples give out certain gases that cause fruits and vegetables to rot.

8) Place slices of apples or raw potatoes in the bread compartment or jar.
Why? By adding a few slices of raw potatoes or apples with the bread, you ensure that the bread remains fresh for longer than usual.

9) Store radish in a vessel along with some water. Why? You should store radish in a vessel along with water because water will keep the radish fresh and crisp for a long time. For the same reason, if the radishes have shriveled, place them in a jar of cold water. Water will restore the radish to its previous splendor.

Finally, I have presented only a few of the more practical actions you should follow to ensure that the food you and your family consume remains fresh and tasty. Follow the guide for a healthy living for you and your family.

Healthy Pregnancy Tips - Supplements To Avoid

Prenatal vitamins are an important source of folate and other vital nutrients during pregnancy. And many women, with the popularity of herbal medicine, take other herbs during pregnancy. Some of these herbs they may have been taking before, for an existing condition. Others, they may take to help cope with some of the physical difficulties that go with pregnancy. The following supplements and food additives should be avoided during pregnancy to avoid potential problems with the health of the baby.

Quinine

Quinine is found in many drinks like tonic water, and these are popular as a result of their slightly bitter taste. But it was found that one woman who drunk more than 1 liter of tonic water a day whilst she was pregnant had a baby that was suffering withdrawal symptoms when he was born. It had nervous tremors within a day of being born, which disappeared two months later. It is recommends that pregnant women treat quinine drinks, no matter how small the amount of quinine in them, as a medicinal product, and avoid them as a precaution during pregnancy.

One of the more than 20 active constituents of ginseng was found by researchers to be a possible cause for concern for pregnant women. These researchers were measuring the effect of this active principle on fetal development in rats. And they found that, relating to the dose, rat embryonic development was affected. Higher doses meant a higher level of abnormalities, according to the markers of development their study used. Now, this study was one done on rat embryos, and so may not translate into similar effects on humans.

And they only studied the effects of one of ginseng's active constituents, which was a ginsenoside called Rb1. Ginseng actually has over 20 ginsenosides, and other studies have found that each have different actions. One of the difficulties with studying active constituents in herbal medicine is that the whole herbal extract may have a very different overall effect than a single constituent. This is because of the way active principles both work together and counteract each other.

These two aspects, the fact that the study was not done on humans, and does not measure the overall effect of the whole ginseng extract, mean that its results should be treated cautiously. As a safety precaution, at this time it is best to at least avoid ginseng supplements during the first trimester, as the authors of the study suggest, and probably for the whole of the pregnancy. But ginseng should certainly not be branded dangerous as a result of this research as it is only a very preliminary finding in the overall picture, and more points the way as to where further research needs to be done.

Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo biloba is another supplement that should be avoided while pregnant. Researchers at Wayne State University in Detroit found one of the constituents of ginkgo biloba in the placenta of a woman who had taken ginkgo supplements. This particular constituent, an alkaloid called colchicine, can be fatal in high doses, though medicinally, it has great anti-inflammatory effects. Other research has found that cochicine can harm a growing fetus. The potential problem with taking ginkgo supplements regularly while pregnant is that colchicine can build up in the womb, like caffeine when taken in excess of the recommended maximum amounts.

The researchers did stress that there was no link established in the study between ginkgo and complications in the pregnancy, the study only looked at levels of colchicine in the womb.

Eating Healthy During Pregnancy

Honestly, starting off any day with a well balance healthy diet is the best thing you should do for yourself and your new baby. All you have to do is to make just a few adjustments during your pregnancy and you should be alright.

Your First Trimester

However, if you find it very difficult to maintain a balanced diet during your first trimester, you can rest be assured that your not alone. Due to queasiness, some women will eat all of the time and gain a lot of weight in the process while most other women have trouble getting food down and subsequently lose weight. Preventing malnutrition and dehydration during pregnancy are your most important factors during first trimester.

Calories

Nevertheless, when you are pregnant, you need to consume close to 300 calories more than usual every day. The best way to go about doing this is to listen to your body when you are hungry. You should try to eat as many foods as possible from the bottom of the food pyramid. If you gain weight too slow, try eating small meals and slightly increase the fat in your diet. You should always eat when you are hungry, as you are now eating for 2 instead of one.

Calcium

Moreover, by the second trimester, all you need is around 1,500 milligrams of calcium each day for your bones and your baby', which is more than a quart of milk. Calcium is something that is missing from many diets. Make sure to drink milk always. Other great sources for calcium include dairy products, calcium fortified juices, and even calcium tablets.

Fiber

In fact, fiber helps prevent constipation, which is a common pregnancy problem with most women. You can find fiber in whole grains, fruits, and even vegetables. Fiber supplements such as Metamucil and Citrucel are safe to take during pregnancy.

Protein

Unless you happen to be a strict vegetarian, your protein intake is not normally a problem for women who eat a healthy diet during pregnancy.

Iron

It is a well known fact, that a lot of women start their pregnancy off with a bit of iron deficiency. Good sources of iron include dark leafy green vegetables and meats. Iron supplements should be avoided, as they can cause internal symptoms such as cramping, constipation and even diarrhea.

Vitamins

Knowing how you get the majority of vitamins you need in your diet is very important and therefore you should make it a point of duty to discuss prenatal vitamin tips with your doctor. Folate is one of the most important and if you are getting enough of it, then you may be able to avoid vitamins all together. Just ask your doctor to make sure. Never walk into any drug store to buy vitamins without proper advice from your doctor. Remember, it is your life and that of your baby.

Pregnancy should actually be a time of joy and excitement. But most moms-to-be suffer from a great deal of anxiety and worry.
